Domestically, we operate a pipeline network spanning 1,600 kilometres to ensure that local customers are supplied on demand.About the JobAssists the Senior Risk Analyst in the development, implementation, and continual improvement of an Enterprise Risk Management framework, including systems for the identification, assessment and control of risk. Works closely with Risk Owners at all levels in the organisation to ensure that risk are being identified and managed effectively. Undertakes tasks to ensure that risk management is embedded into the business processes, in strategy setting and across the organisation in order to provide top management with reasonable assurance of the achievement of objectives.Key Accountabilities
  • To work closely with ADNOC Group ERM division in the development and implementation of ERM governance and reporting protocols.
  • Provide the necessary oversight of risk assessments to ensure the process is undertaken to an acceptable standard, and in alignment with ADNOC ERM Standard.
  • Ensuring the ERM Policy and Framework document remain current, available and relevant.
  • Ensure risk champions appointed are trained appropriately throughout the business.
  • Assist risk owners during the preparation for and conduct of risk assessments.
  • To support facilitating risk identification workshops.
  • Monitor and maintain the company top risks / corporate risk register.
  • Develop regular reports on the status of risks, controls and actions for the CEO to approve and present to the Audit Committee, BAC & BoD.
  • Delivering training to build the level of risk competence in the organization.
  • Ensuring the ELT committee is kept appraised of current and emerging risks.
ADNOC Refining Risk Policy:
  • Assists Senior Risk Analyst in the planning and delivery of workshops and discussion groups with Risk Owners and departmental management in order to promote the understanding and application of risk appetite, risk tolerances and the risk philosophy of the organisation
  • Effectively executed strategy for the dissemination of the risk policy across all appropriate management levels in the organisation
  • Advises and makes recommendations on the enterprise risk architecture, strategy and protocols
  • Undertakes tasks to gather relevant information from the organization and the wider stakeholder environment in order to develop all components of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Understands and advises on legislative, regulatory and corporate requirements as well as the expectations of stakeholders and feeds these into the development of the Framework to ensure compliance and gain support
  • Reviews the Framework to check that it is comprehensive, that it reflects recognized good practice models and that it can be applied easily into the organization
  • Reviews and makes recommendations on the risk assessment processes including identification, description, analysis, and evaluation
  • Interacts regularly with the network of Risk Owners across the organization to ensure risk information is effectively communicated and understood and that risk reporting is consistent, comprehensive, and timely
  • Maintains the Enterprise Risk Management framework so that it remains aligned to the business objectives, includes feedback from the organization, reflects any major organizational changes and is continually being improved
  • Assists the Senior Risk Analyst in ensuring that the Framework is integrated with other key business functions such as HSE, Internal Audit, Business planning and Business Continuity
  • Enterprise Risk Management Framework for ADNOC Refining to be effectively implemented, maintained, communicated and understood and is integrated with other key risk-related business functions
Enterprise Risk Management Strategy:
  • Develops and implements goals for the further growth, sophistication and integration of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
  • Advises on keeping the Enterprise Risk Management Framework appropriate for the business context and overall strategy of ADNOC Refining
  • Delivers risk management training and awareness programme appropriate to the competence level and context of departments in the organization
  • Contribute in developing a strategy for the development and growth of the Enterprise Risk Management framework, in line with the business objectives
  • Ensure communication / training strategy to keep the organization appraised on developments
Enterprise Risk Management Reporting:
  • Assists the Senior Risk Analyst in the establishment of efficient and effective risk reporting protocols
  • Works closely with Risk Owners to ensure efficient risk reporting during 1/4ly risk return cycle
  • Assists and advises the Senior Risk Analyst in the consolidation, calibration and prioritization of risks
  • Advises on the format and presentation of risk reports and summary slides for top management
  • deputies for the Enterprise Risk Manager and / or Senior Risk Analyst as may be necessary in the presentation of risk reports and analyses to internal Committees including Internal Audit Committee and the Board Advisory Committee
  • Assists the Senior Risk Analyst in the on-going management and maintenance of the corporate risk register to ensure it remains current, comprehensive and accessible as appropriate
  • Support providing an effective and seamless risk reporting cycle
  • Support providing a high-quality risk reports and analyses that can be meaningfully used by top management
  • Ensure comprehensive and well-maintained corporate risk register
Enterprise Risk Management Assurance:
  • Assists Risk Owners in ensuring that regular risk review and monitoring of control activities is taking place, that actions are being taken where appropriate, and that activities and progress on risk controls are being included on risk reports
  • Maintains a database of the status of controls and uses the data to provide meaningful feedback on risk assurance activities as part of the risk reporting cycle
  • Maintain highly motivated Enterprise Risk Management Department team, respected across the organization for their professionalism and commitment
Enterprise Risk Management Leadership:
  • Acts as an agent for change in the organization and a role model across all management levels as a professional risk practitioner
  • Mentors and motivates any junior staff members in the Enterprise Risk Management department
  • Proactively involvement in departmental-level risk management activities
  • Keeps abreast of all latest developments in risk management, the company, and the industry
  • Highly motivated Enterprise Risk Management Department team, respected across the organization for their professionalism and commitment
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited University
  • Professional qualification in risk management (CIRM, MIRM)
  • Experience in working at a junior management level, preferably within the oil and gas industry would be preferred
  • High level of proficiency in spoken and written English. Report writing and presentation skills are essential. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable
  • Confidentiality, refining industry knowledge, objectivity, business understanding, regulatory and standards changes, risk assessment, organisational skills, conflict resolution/negotiation skills.
  • Information technology, highly proficient with MS Office, with particular expertise in Excel and PowerPoint
