Summary of the role:

The AMI Operator Center Supervisor is responsible for the operations of the command center, supervising field activities and troubleshooting with client and Consultants, overall data management functionality and the validity intervention. The role holder is also responsible for the distribution of reports, as appropriate and creation of analytical reports in conjunction with other departments. This includes developing of standardized regular reports clearing issues that require team management.

Responsibilities:

Oversees team of Operators performing command center and AMI related works, ensuring correct data handling and meter/device management.

Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves operation problems.

To support in Billing monitoring and preparation: this includes all preparation, monitoring and corrective actions to be undertaken during billing and data collection and post billing activities).

Updates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.

Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification.

Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the command center are in-line with Client health and safety regulations.

Receive and issue the Work Order and keeping records as per Client requirements.

Updates/corrects information in system, keep record and prepare report etc. regarding all kinds of data systems as per Client requirements.

Performs software enhancement and defect testing as a primary user of the application.

Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.

The person:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering/Telecommunication/Computer Science Engineering or related field or equivalent.

+7 years of experience in operation and maintenance of telecom or smart metering or IoT networks and equipment.

Proficient with Head-end systems and Meter data management application as advance level user. Experience with Siemens EnergyIP and Siemens SIE UDIS is preferred.

GCC experience and/or Bilingual (Arabic & English).

Most recent experience (at least 3 years) in technical field as supervision of testing, installation & maintenances of all type of meters/communication, measuring equipment.

Experience with RF communication for various type of smart metering/IoT devices, experience with cellular and MBUS communication for smart meters is preferred.

Hand-on experience with telecommunication and connectivity testing equipment.

Strong experience in reporting, site data analysis and field work monitoring. Ability of manage technician teams and instruct them for troubleshooting and corrective actions.

Basic knowledge of IT- Desktop/ windows software, IP addresses, LAN/WAN services, Hardware troubleshooting etc.

Extensive data tracking, sorting, updating, recording and ability to prepare all kinds of reports with appropriate format.

Experience in validating initial processes and training materials before they are published to AMI System Engineer.

Able to manage the technical analysis and produce the technical reports.

Able to communicate with customer, contactors, site team as required.

Able to learn the technical training, hand-on work as required.

Able to work independently.

Must have knowledge of the safety standards, rules, and regulations.

Important:

This position requires traveling between venues/depots during normal and or outside office hours for the site - work such as configurations, installations, inspections, and any site related works.

This position requires mobile communication outside normal office hours for emergency purposes.
