• Project Planning and Coordination :
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to plan and schedule aluminum work, including window, door, curtain wall, and facade installations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of aluminum structures with the rest of the project.
• Technical Supervision :
• Oversee the installation and fabrication of aluminum structures, ensuring they comply with blueprints and specifications.
• Conduct on-site measurements, calculations, and adjustments to ensure accurate fit and alignment.
• Address technical issues that arise on-site, finding solutions to meet design and safety requirements.
• Quality Assurance :
• Inspect materials and work for quality assurance, ensuring all aluminum parts meet industry standards and specifications.
• Implement quality control procedures, including testing of aluminum strength, finishes, and fastenings.
• Health and Safety Compliance :
• Ensure all site activities involving aluminum materials and installations follow safety regulations and standards.
• Conduct safety inspections and enforce proper handling, storage, and installation of aluminum components.
• Documentation and Reporting :
• Maintain detailed records of daily progress, materials used, and any issues encountered on-site.
• Provide regular reports to project managers, documenting work completed, any deviations from plans, and additional resources or time needed.
• Team Supervision and Training :
• Supervise on-site teams, including installers and fabricators, providing guidance to ensure precision in work.
• Train team members on best practices, safety protocols, and installation techniques specific to aluminum.
Skills and Qualifications
• Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Technical Expertise : Proficient in aluminum materials, structural engineering, and familiarity with CAD software.
• Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot installation issues and make on-site decisions.
• Communication : Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with architects, contractors, and the site team.
• Project Management : Good organizational and time-management skills to ensure work meets deadlines.
