About the role
Alibaba Cloud UAE is looking for an experience Account Director based in Dubai. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of Alibaba Cloud Services within organisations across Financial Services, Media, Entertainment and Internet Platform/Technology industry. You will be the primary point of contact and possess customer facing skills that enable you to represent Alibaba Cloud well within a customer's environment, and drive discussions with senior personnel regarding incidents, trade-offs, best practices, and risk management.
You should also have a demonstrated ability and track records to drive increased cloud consumption in one or many of the verticals, including: Financial Services, Media, Entertainment and Internet Platform/Technology
Key Responsibilities:
Acting like a business owner to take ownership of revenue and customer's experience on Alibaba Cloud.
Engage with IT Director and C-Level executives to understand Customer's needs and challenges.
Advocate for customer requirements within Alibaba Cloud (be their voice!)
Represent Alibaba Cloud well within customer's environment (be our advocate!)
Help define IT and business processes that work well with cloud deployments.
Work closely with Alibaba Cloud Architect team to make recommendations on how Alibaba Cloud offerings can fit in customer's architecture and improve their IT efficiency.
Leverage knowledge of your customers' environments to assist TAM and service teams in better serving your customers
Drive issue escalation with Alibaba Cloud Service teams.
Periodic reviews of operational performance to customer leadership for Key Accounts
Drive increased cloud consumption while adding value to your customers.
Comfortable working in a global company with culture diversity and fast pace growth Position Requirement
Experience in proactively growing customer relationships within an account while uncovering customer's challenges and new initiatives.
Experience in prospecting and building connections with new target accounts
Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders throughout complex engagement.
Experience communicating and presenting to senior leadership
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong business acumen
Experience managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-moving environment
Over 7 years' experience in enterprise customer facing role as either technical or business lead.
Understanding of Cloud and Hybrid Cloud technology and solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle, Alibaba Cloud and VMware)
High degree of comfort when presenting to both large and small audiences
