SynopsisThe Aircraft Dispatcher manages the turnaround Aircraft in co-ordination with multiple stakeholders across the airport, including Authorities, Service providers & Airline flight crew to ensure the safe and timely dispatch of the aircraft.The Aircraft Dispatcher has full control of the aircraft turnaround process and ensures activities are completed safely and on time and in line with the airline PTS, influencing external stakeholders where necessary.Responsible for the Weight & Balance of aircraft, a focus on safety is crucial while maintaining compliance with all Safety & Security protocols, and process as stipulated by Authorities and the Airlines.Accountabilities
Accountable for Weight & Balance or Load Planning various aircraft types across multiple airlines, Safety & Security protocols and in accordance to the airline requirements.
Ensure compliance with weight and balance requirements by calculating and distributing load to maintain safe and efficient aircraft operations.
Responsible for planning payload and overall load distribution.
Supervise, control and influence the turnaround of aircraft ensuring safe and timely contribution by all stakeholders.
Effective communication & co-ordination with all relevant stakeholders.
Manage the turnaround processes and provide leadership to EASG teams with a positive can do attitude that inspires those around you for maximum efficiency.
Take a pro-active approach to the events around you and go above and beyond to always ensure the best possible experience for our passengers & airlines.
Make key tactical decisions and have authority to take decisions affecting the safe & timely departure of the aircraft.
Anticipate delays in process that will affect the PTS and update TOBT accordingly after doing everything possible to mitigate or minimize the delay.
Ensure all stakeholders are operating in safe manner & rectify then report any unsafe behaviors or practices.
Allocation of delay codes for any off schedule departures after a full an comprehensive investigation of all contributing factors with insightful reporting that can help drive future service level improvements.
Education & Experience
An excellent standard of written and verbal English.
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar position with responsibility for Load Control / Weight & Balance of aircraft.
Knowledge and understanding of Weight and Balance (Relevant to Aircraft).
Knowledge of Load control would be advantageous.
Familiar with emergency procedures.
Strong communication & leadership skills.
Valid UAE driving license, or a valid driving license approved by their home country eligible for conversion.
Knowledge in handling and storage of dangerous goods would be advantageous, previous DGR certification preferred.
Possession of a weight & balance license for aircraft/airlines operating in the GCC region would be advantageous, previous certification preferred.
