You will work alongside colleagues within Affinity both locally and internationally to penetrate the UAE market by identifying key partnerships where we can develop and implement strategies and processes enabling our partners to add further value to their clients.




You will work with the international affinity team to identify and expand on international client relationships that can be leveraged from and developed locally and to apply best practices of the international affinity team to deliver a consistent customer experience. You will also connect with many industry and subject matter experts across the world within the Marsh & McLennan organization to maximize the potential for our clients as well as your own development.




We are a specialist team of insurance professionals focused on the development of large Affinity programs centered on Automotive, Equipment and Consumer Electronics, Sponsored, Sharing Economy and Mobility sectors. These programs include Sales, Product development, Placement, and the use of technology to deliver a best in market customer experience.




What can you expect:




Business Development Managers are responsible for the growth, profitability, and client satisfaction of a book of business containing complex priority accounts. Business Development Managers "deliver the firm" by aligning client strategies and needs to MMC's capabilities and resources. This includes managing and developing client relationships, acting as the client's trusted advisor, pursuing new business development, and expanding and diversifying the mix of Marsh Affinity products and services the client holds. A Business Development Manager is a recognized subject matter expert, making an impact as an influential individual contributor by managing mid-to-large-scale strategic projects, coaching team members and solving complex problems.




We will count on you to:


• Identifie key opportunities for growth in the affinity segment aligned with segment strategy for the region.
• Collaborate alongside C&C and Affinity unit leader and teams to develop penetration strategies of existing affinity arrangements to drive revenue for both Marsh & Sponsor.
• Keep current on industry and market trends and develops growth strategy for targeted accounts, industries, or specialties to ensure appropriate solutions are marketed and proposed to target new buyer hubs and expand the book of business.
• Work with technical specialists both locally and globally to make informed recommendations.
• Work with Affinity segment project leads to ensure conditions, coverage and pricing are advantageous for the client.
• Feedback any customer journey pain-points and areas of improvement/development ensuring that Affinity project leads deliver against the product/operationally and execute on customer requirements where agreed.
• Work with the Project Manager to develop the project plan for the overall sales process for account work and monitors progress ensuring timeframes are effectively planned and high-quality products or solutions successfully delivered.
• Maintain and preserve relationships and ensuring full handover of servicing requirements to Client Executives.
• Review, analyse and understand clients/prospects business to determine needs, and potential business opportunities and design optimum insurance programs for clients
• Achieve sales targets as outlined by the Manager and assist Manager in achieving budgeted targets across new and existing clients and expected team goals
• Responsible for onboarding of affinity partnerships and supporting team with large account penetration within existing programmes.
• Identification and execution of cross sell opportunities to new customers.
• Self-generation of new ideas and strategic planning to follow-up and close new and existing customers.
• Develop & deliver presentations and agendas to support prospection meetings.
• Work together with Affinity Client Executives/ project management on annual insurance renewals including strategy, development, and timeline.
• Maintain accurate records of all prospect/client contact through the use of the CRM systems.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of contract preparation, processing, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with latest policies/procedures and ensure that the same is in line with other regulatory requirements.
• Maintain good relations with Insurance market.
• Pro-actively collaborate with all internal and external units to deliver client requirements.
• Provide the Manager with accurate sales and productivity reports.
• Maintains strong relationships with senior level professional counterparts and sales representatives in client organizations.
• Participates in team meetings and activities in order to share opinions, ideas, knowledge, and solutions and seeks opportunities to increase own understanding and improve the services provided.
• Attends and participates frequently in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company as a thought leader.



What you need to have:

• Pleasant disposition, good interpersonal and communication skills. English is essential, Arabic is desirable.
• Team player. Proactive in working with the team locally.
• Willingness to work from alternative business locations within the UAE as required by the business, either on the short or long-term, including attending internal and external meetings.
• Proven sales experience in the insurance industry and client relationship management experience in the insurance industry
• Strong connections with companies and industries with sales potential
• Strong negotiation skills
• Proficient with software packages such as Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
• Bachelor's Degree plus a minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.
• UAE driver's license
