  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities in the data center market.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders to drive sales growth.
  • Utilize market insights and strategic networking to build a pipeline of potential clients and partnerships.
Account Management and Client Relationship Building
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle for assigned accounts, ensuring that each client's needs are met promptly and with a high degree of satisfaction.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with key accounts, understanding their business challenges and proactively providing solutions to support their goals.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication and customer loyalty.
Strategic Sales Plan Development and Execution
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with both company objectives and evolving industry trends in the data center sector.
  • Analyze market conditions and adjust sales strategies accordingly to stay competitive and effectively position the company's offerings.
  • Identify key target sectors and high-value opportunities to maximize revenue generation.
Market Research and Competitive Analysis
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings within the data center space.
  • Gather and analyze customer insights to refine and adjust sales strategies, ensuring alignment with evolving customer needs.
  • Share relevant industry updates and customer insights with internal teams to support continuous improvement.
Sales Pipeline Management and Forecasting
  • Manage a comprehensive sales pipeline to ensure steady revenue flow and efficient lead tracking.
  • Implement effective follow-up processes, and work to convert leads into high-quality sales opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and provide regular updates to senior management on pipeline status and conversion rates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with General Managers, Estimation, Engineering, Proposal Manager, product development, marketing, and project teams to deliver tailor-made solutions that meet client-specific requirements.
  • Serve as the client advocate internally, ensuring alignment and communication between departments to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage cross-department insights to refine sales strategies and identify potential upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
Negotiation and Contract Management
  • Lead negotiations with clients, working to secure mutually beneficial agreements and ensure all contractual obligations are met.
  • Draft, review, and manage sales contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Work with legal and finance teams as needed to finalize contract terms and close deals efficiently.
Reporting, KPIs, and Performance Tracking
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge individual and team sales performance against targets.
  • Prepare comprehensive sales reports for senior management, highlighting progress, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data and performance insights to adapt strategies, maintaining a focus on target achievement and continuous improvement.
Customer Retention and Support
  • Foster high levels of customer satisfaction by providing continuous support and addressing any client concerns.
  • Develop retention strategies to minimize churn, enhance client loyalty, and secure renewals and long-term commitments.
  • Identify opportunities for account growth by understanding clients' evolving needs and providing value-added solutions.
MARKET SKILLS and COMPETENCIESStrategic Thinking: Ability to identify high-value opportunities and adapt sales approaches based on market conditions.Customer-Centric Approach: Prioritizes customer satisfaction, building trust and rapport to foster strong client relationships.Collaboration: Works seamlessly with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze market data, industry trends, and customer feedback to refine strategies.Results-Driven: Focused on meeting sales targets and committed to continuously improving performance.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONSExperience: At least 10 years of proven sales and execution experience, within the data center, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, or related technology sectors.Knowledge of Data Centers: Strong understanding of data center infrastructure and services, including colocation, cloud hosting, and awareness of emerging industry trends.Sales Expertise: Demonstrated track record of successfully identifying, nurturing, and closing sales opportunities in a complex, B2B environment, with a focus on high-value deals.Relationship Management: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with C-level executives and other key decision-makers.Negotiation Skills: Extensive experience in negotiating and closing complex contracts, as well as managing and executing large-scale sales deals.Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Education: A bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field is required; an MBA is a plus.Technical Acumen: Familiarity with data center technologies, cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and networking is highly desirable, with the ability to discuss technical aspects confidently.
