Via Medica International Healthcare LLC is seeking a qualified Advanced Care Paramedic to join our team for one of our projects in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Main Tasks and ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification.Essential Functionsxc2xb7 Performs a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including neonatal, paediatric, adolescent, and geriatric patients and the general patient population.xc2xb7 Verifies that the assigned ambulance is mechanically sound and properly equipped at the start of a shift.xc2xb7 Evaluates the nature and acuity of the illness or injury.xc2xb7 Ensure that all medical and non-medical equipment is maintained, checked and serviced, including the onsite ambulance and emergency care equipment as per VMIH policies.xc2xb7 Organizes patient care in a manner that contributes to the overall quality of the team.xc2xb7 Communicates information pertinent to transfer of patient. (ie; admissions, ER transfer)xc2xb7 Interacts professionally with staff members, physicians, and patients.xc2xb7 Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.xc2xb7 Demonstrates the value of team concept on a consistent basis.xc2xb7 Ensures that all patient files and data collection is maintained to the highest standard while ensuring confidentiality.xc2xb7 Handles inventory control of emergency drugs and disposables.xc2xb7 Ensures full compliance on audits, stock control, incident and accident reporting, controlled medication reporting and onsite continued training and development.xc2xb7 Prepares and submit all weekly and monthly reports shared with onsite clinic manager.xc2xb7 Ensures continuous quality management throughout the clinic.xc2xb7 Complete a full and comprehensive hand over to relief paramedic after every shift.General Functionsxc2xb7 Operates an assigned motor vehicle; maintains cleanliness of and fuels vehicle; checks tire inflation and fluid levels; requests or schedules service and/or repairs as needed.xc2xb7 Substitutes for other supervisors and/or co-workers during their temporary absence; provides guidance, training, and/or assistance to other department personnel.xc2xb7 May be required to be on twenty-four-hour call as deemed necessary. xc2xb7 In the event of a declared state of emergency, employees in this classification may be called to work during days or hours other than those for which they are regularly scheduled. xc2xb7 Personally responsible for protecting paper records, computer records, and other device associated with confidential public health information or data. xc2xb7 Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable UAE labour laws at all times. xc2xb7 Participates in regular quality audits by ensuring compliance of evidence/documents at all times. xc2xb7 Carries out ad-hoc tasks and/or project work as directed to support the Department/Division to deliver strategy. xc2xb7 Required from time to time to undertake other duties of similar nature as reasonably required by the line manager.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in EMS/Paramedicine or Equivalent (minimum 3 years course duration)
Must have Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS/ITLS
Minimum of 2 years of experience post-registration/certification as Advanced Care Paramedic
