Requirements:
Degree in Mechanic Engineering or Diploma with relevant experience.
Must have the following certifications: AWS or CSWIP
NDT Level II in RT (film interpretation), PT, MT, NACE/BGAS and UT methods highly desirable; ICC Bolting certification is desirable
At least 10 years of related experience in Oil and gas EPC projects
Must have a proven track record in Pipeline and Piping work
Expert with international and local QAQC policies and regulations, and applicable laws.
Responsibilities
Perform inspection of incoming products, materials, or customer items according to project ITP.
Perform in-process inspection according to procedures, ITP, and customer's specifications. Prepare and issue reports whenever necessary.
Perform final inspection of items including dimensional, NDT and hardness to ensure that all quality requirements or API specifications have been achieved.
Ensure workmanship meets required standards as per project specifications.
Witness / supervise / review NDTs, instrumentation calibration, factory acceptance tests, etc.
Maintain daily records to support documentation of welding activities.
Monitor and witness the testing related to blasting/painting works.
Liaise with client, PMT and subcontractor on activity pertaining to quality.
Document all inspection activities on a daily basis.
Responsible for tracking all materials used for piping/pipeline construction including joint numbers, joint lengths and heat numbers associated with all materials (pipe stock, fittings, etc.)
Review Project Quality Assurance Plans, ITP and coordinate with Third Party Inspection agencies.
Review and approve project QA/QC documents.
Analyze inspection results and decide the acceptance level of the final product.
Raise non-conformance reports and submit to Head-Operations.
Interact with customers and attend to their needs.
Prepare test procedure whenever needed.
Prepare inspection reports/records and compile it as per final documentation requirements.
Prepare related red line marking drawing.
Assist in punch list and perform line walk during ITR endorsement.
Participate in weekly Engineering and Projects Meetings when possible.
Know and understand ASTRA QHSE Policy and comply all safety rules and company policies meeting all requirements of the IMS Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Work Instructions.
