Position Overview:

We are a growing study abroad consulting firm dedicated to helping students achieve their academic dreams across the globe. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Study Abroad Counselor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of international education systems, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to guiding students through the complexities of studying abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

• Student Counseling: Provide personalized counseling to students and their families regarding study abroad options, including program selection, application processes, and visa requirements.
• Application Management: Assist students with the preparation and submission of university applications, ensuring all documents are complete and deadlines are met.
• Guidance on Examinations: Offer guidance on standardized tests such as IELTS, TOEFL, GRE, and GMAT, including test preparation resources and registration.
• University Liaison: Communicate with universities and educational institutions abroad to stay updated on admission criteria, application processes, and scholarship opportunities.
• Information Sessions: Conduct informational sessions for prospective students and their families on various study abroad topics.
• Market Research: Stay informed about global education trends, destination country education systems, and changes in visa regulations.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with students, and their families to ensure a smooth and supportive counseling process.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student interactions and applications, and provide regular updates to management on counseling activities.

Skills Required:

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in education, international relations, or a related field. A master's degree or certification in counseling is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in study abroad counseling or a related field.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
• Interpersonal Skills: Empathetic, patient, and able to build strong relationships with students and their families.
• Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of international education systems, study abroad programs, and visa requirements.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Technology: Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience with CRM systems or educational counseling software.
• Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness and understanding of different cultural backgrounds and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse cultures.
