Prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents such as pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents.
Manage and organize case files and legal documents in both physical and electronic formats.
Ensure all documents are filed correctly and comply with legal standards and deadlines.
Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct inquiries to appropriate personnel.
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances.
Handle correspondence, including emails, faxes, and mail.
Conduct basic legal research to assist attorneys in preparing for cases.
Summarize and organize information gathered during research.
Assist in the preparation of case files for court proceedings.
Monitor and manage deadlines and schedules for multiple cases.
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal administrative role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with legal software and case management systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Understanding of legal terminology and procedures.
