Job Description
Ajman University is seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty teaching positions in The College of Humanities and Sciences for the Academic Semester: Spring 2023-2024 (starting January 15, 2024). Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment appointed on a semester basis. The required faculty members will be responsible for teaching in one or more of the following specializations:
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Arabic Language
- English Language
- Islamic Studies
- General Psychology/Critical Thinking
- Sociology / Social work
- Education
- Mathematics / Statistics
- Physics
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidates can be at the level of MA or MS, PhD degree holders depending on the course to be taught.
- Equivalency of the final certificate from the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates is a must.
- Experience in teaching and engagement of students are necessary.
- An active research and practice agenda are recommended.
- Advanced use of technology in the education process (delivering classes via presentations, using e-learning systems, reports).
- Valid UAE Residency Visa.
- Develop and deliver courses to students in specified discipline areas of study.
- Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success.
- Actively seek out methods, procedures and resources to best achieve course objectives.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Ability to work effectively with a multiple diverse community.
- Ability to create, compose and edit written materials.
- Program planning and implementation skills.
- Knowledge of computerized student information systems
