The School of Arts and Sciences at American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) invites applications for an adjunct faculty position in Mathematics for the Fall 2024. We welcome candidates whose teaching employs high-impact teaching practices to promote active learning by students. The adjunct faculty will be teaching lower divisions of Mathematics and Statistics courses. Prior successful teaching experience at the university level employing high-impact educational practices and experience in working effectively with globally diverse student populations are expected.

Required Qualifications:


• A Master or Doctoral degree in Mathematics or Statistics from an accredited institution of higher education


• University teaching experience


• Excellent English oral and written communication skills


• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices


• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines


Description of AURAK:


The American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) is a public non-profit, independent, coeducation institution of higher education, which delivers an integrated American-style, undergraduate and graduate education with a strong focus on the local indigenous culture.
