:Job Purpose & ScopeSupervises and Leads a multi discipline maintenance team (Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation) to ensure maintenance, overhaul and repair of services and facilities on ACPT-1 & ACPT-2. Equipment includes Desalination units, Boilers, Jet Re-fuelling systems, Power Distribution systems, Fire Fighting and Life saving equipmentPrincipal Accountabilitiesa. Supervise the activities of assigned personnel to ensure that their work is carried out correctly and to the requiredstandards. Personally supervise and participate in the preventive maintenance and repair of all equipments and prepare for planned activities in close liaison with Team Leader in order to minimize downtime and cost.b. Draft and approve work orders and consult with Team Leader, Production and other trades to determine priorities in order to prepare a detailed daily work schedule.c. Liaise with relevant personnel in Production and Safety Departments to obtain work permits, and inform Team Leader of any deviation from plan. Liaise with other sections involved in the work.d. Diagnose complex faults, analyze breakdowns and malfunctions in order to effect remedial actions including arranging for equipment, tools and material requirements and to direct Mechanical team accordingly.f. Propose and follow up with implementation of any modifications to improve equipment / plant reliability and availability.g. Assist in the development of preventive and predictive maintenance job plans, recommending changes or modifications to procedures depending on equipment performance and degree of breakdown.h. Identify the need for spare parts, consumables and tools, and drafts and follow-up material requisitions as required to ensure that adequate supplies are maintained for the task. Make recommendations concerning changes in stock levels or materials used depending on equipment performance.i. Ensure that all maintenance and technical documentation is completed correctly. Prepare regular work reports and specific technical reports when required.j. Supervises small projects execution.k. Liaises with Job Officers in AUH support departments.l. Ensure work is carried out in a safe manner and adheres to company HSE system. Conducts In-house safety meeting on a monthly basis. Participates in regular safety and housekeeping audits.m. Assist with the development of UAE Nationals. Monitor progress and recommend training requirements.n. Monitor the performance of sub-ordinates and appraise their performance on a quarterly and annual basis. Subsequently, identify training needs of sub-ordinates especially UAE Nationals, initiate training activities for them, and may participate in such training.
