Accounts Receivable (gujarati) Hotel Experience Required

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our hotel's finance team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely collection of payments and maintaining accurate financial records for our hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Invoice Management:
• Prepare and send invoices for guests, group bookings, and corporate accounts.
• Ensure all billing is accurate and complies with hotel policies.
• Process adjustments, refunds, and credits as necessary.
• Payment Collection and Application:
• Follow up with guests, corporate clients, and travel agents on outstanding payments.
• Apply payments (credit cards, checks, wire transfers, etc.) to appropriate guest accounts.
• Monitor and report on overdue accounts, escalating as necessary.
• Account Reconciliation:
• Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Resolve discrepancies and disputes with clients or internal departments in a timely manner.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare weekly/monthly aging reports and assist in generating financial statements.
• Provide financial data to management as needed for decision-making.
• Customer Service:
• Respond to guest or client inquiries regarding billing, payment status, and account details.
• Address and resolve payment issues promptly and professionally.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting procedures.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with the front desk, sales, and management teams to resolve billing issues.
• Assist with auditing and compliance tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred).
• Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounting, or hospitality finance is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and hotel financial systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and accounting software (e.g., OPERA, QuickBooks).
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

• Experience in the hospitality industry or hotel management systems.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.
