Job Description

The accounts payable department keeps that system running smoothly by managing cash flow and paying vendors and suppliers. We are searching for a skilled financial specialist to join our AP team to help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The AP specialist will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and on good terms with our valued partners:

Objectives of this role

Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process Exercise integrity and confidentiality in financial reporting Comply with national and local financial regulations.

Responsibilities

Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation Generate purchase orders when necessary Obtain and print signatures on all checks Assist senior financial officers as needed. Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, including, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc. Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances Maintaining historical records Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing pay checks Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit Responding to vendor enquiries regarding finance Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports Continuing to improve the payment process.

The Successful Applicant

Have a proven track record of success in AP/Treasury, with strong technical expertise. Possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team. Thrive in a dynamic environment and embrace continuous improvement. Are comfortable working in a diverse and inclusive workplace. With F & B experienced.
