Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to lead the accounting function within our organisation. The ideal candidate will be an Arab national with a strong background in financial accounting, leadership, and a deep understanding of local regulatory requirements. As the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and leading a team to maintain accurate financial records. This is a leadership role requiring strategic thinking and the ability to manage complex accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure optimal performance and career growth.
• Oversee daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports.
• Collaborate with senior management to set strategic goals and objectives for the finance function.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards.
• Ensure all financial records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for the timely completion of audits.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns and ensure compliance with VAT, income tax, and other relevant taxes.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Manage the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, analysing variances and providing recommendations for financial improvements.
• Monitor financial performance, identifying areas for cost control, risk management, and efficiency improvements.

Accounting Systems and Process Improvement:

• Continuously review and improve accounting processes and controls to ensure efficiency and mitigate risk.

Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management:

• Stay updated with changes in local tax laws, accounting regulations, and industry trends.
• Ensure adherence to relevant legal, financial, and regulatory requirements, and drive compliance across all financial operations.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred).
• Experience: At least 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of local accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ERPNext).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage teams, drive results, and effectively communicate financial insights to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• National: Arab national with deep knowledge of regional financial and tax regulations.
