The Accounts Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including bookkeeping, taxation, and Management Information Systems (MIS) reporting. This role requires a meticulous and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of financial processes, tax regulations, and data management. The Accounts Manager will ensure accuracy in financial records, compliance with tax laws, and the provision of timely and insightful financial reports to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping:
• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting standards and policies.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
• Ensure timely closing of accounts and preparation of financial statements.
Taxation:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and laws, including VAT and corporate tax.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and other statutory returns.
• Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits and inquiries.
• Keep abreast of changes in tax legislation and advise management on tax implications and strategies.
Management Information Systems (MIS):
• Develop, implement, and maintain MIS processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Generate and analyze financial reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure data integrity and consistency across the organization.
Team Management and Development:
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring their professional development and performance.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Implement training programs and best practices to enhance team capabilities and efficiency.
Process Improvement:
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficient accounting and reporting practices.
• Utilize technology and software tools to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
• Ensure the integrity and security of financial data and systems.
Qualifications:
• CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on bookkeeping, taxation, and MIS.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MS Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
