Job Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Manager to oversee the financial operations within our healthcare organization. The ideal candidate will ensure the financial health and stability of the organization through meticulous financial planning, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Management:

• Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure effective financial management.
• Monitor and control the organization's financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.

2. Accounting:

• General Ledger Management:
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and customer account reconciliations.
• Payroll Management:
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
• Fixed Assets:
• Maintain and manage the fixed asset register, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and disposal of assets.
• Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets.
• Taxation:
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

3. Accounts Receivable from Insurance Companies:

• Insurance Billing and Invoicing:
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims to insurance companies.
• Review invoices to ensure proper coding and compliance with insurance requirements.
• Review and coordinate with Insurance department to ensure invoices are send to insurance companies, ensuring all necessary documentation is included.
• Claims Management:
• Monitor the status of submitted claims to ensure timely processing and payment by insurance companies.
• Follow up on pending or denied claims, providing additional information or resubmitting claims as necessary.
• Work closely with the medical billing team to address any discrepancies or issues in claims submissions.
• Reconciliation:
• Perform regular reconciliation of accounts receivable from insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile payments received from insurance companies with billed amounts, identifying and addressing any discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications with insurance companies.
• Collections:
• Develop and implement strategies to expedite the collection of outstanding receivables from insurance companies.
• Communicate with insurance department to resolve payment delays, disputes, or discrepancies.
• Maintain a log of all collection activities and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Reporting:
• Prepare and present detailed reports on accounts receivable from insurance companies, including aging reports and collection status.
• Analyze trends in receivables and identify areas for improvement in the billing and collection process.
• Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant insurance regulations and standards in the UAE.
• Stay updated on changes in insurance policies, procedures, and reimbursement rates.
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure adherence to insurance billing and documentation requirements.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and present financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure financial statements are prepared in accordance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
• Audit and Compliance:
• Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Bank Reconciliations:
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash balances and identify discrepancies.
• Liaise with banks to resolve any issues or discrepancies.

4. Financial Analysis:

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction.
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports for senior management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

5. Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop and monitor budgets.
• Forecast financial outcomes based on historical data, market trends, and organizational goals.

6. Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards in the UAE.
• Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities as needed.

7. Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the finance department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the healthcare sector.
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and standards in the UAE.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with financial management in the healthcare industry.
• Familiarity with UAE healthcare regulations and financial practices.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
