Job Title: Accounts Manager

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

Reports to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Finance Director

Job Overview:

• We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager with a minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably within the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local regulations, financial reporting standards, and tax laws. They should demonstrate leadership abilities, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of managing a team and driving financial performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and reporting requirements (including VAT).
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and reports to management and stakeholders.
• Manage and coordinate the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, ensuring timely completion and compliance with audit requirements.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with external auditors, banks, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master's degree and CPA/CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UAE accounting principles, financial regulations (including VAT), and reporting standards (IFRS).
• Experience in managing audits and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
