Job Description

Accountant

Minimum 3-4 Years of work experience in the Logistics Freight industry in the accounts freight department in the UAE.

Bachelor / Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Relevant Degree.

Excellent knowledge of Accounting Principles and Knowledge in Operations Management and or Logistics experience / Import-Export / Customs clearance/ VAT / Bank Transactions.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.

Excellent knowledge on Container Bookings (FCL & LCL).

Fully familiar with import and export operations and customs clearance.

Updated shipment bill to the customer.

Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

Submit reports and Follow direct instructions from Management.

Conduct ledger scrutinizes - Debtors, Creditors, and General.

Software expertise, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and MS Excel.

Daily, weekly, and monthly SOA generation.

Monthly accounts reconciliation.

Maintain the general ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company transactions and follow-up payment collection and billing reports.

Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed of monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows).

Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary

Comply with financial policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years' Work experience in Accounting Field.
• Bachelor's degree in (CMA/ACCA) Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Hands-on experience with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals.
• Good presentation and report writing skills.
• Strong Influencing skills and ability to communicate audit results with senior management.

Skills

• Import-Export and Sea/Land Route Specialist.
• Bookkeeping & maintaining.
• Container Bookings (FCL&LCL) on Liner Portals.
• Time Management.
• The ability to influence and negotiate with all levels of people.
• Must have CAR AUCTIONS experience
• Will be assigned in: Al Sajaa Industrial- Emirates Industrial City, Sharjah.
