Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and update financial records using Sage and Xero accounting software.
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with UAE regulations.
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely collections and payments.
• Assist in generating financial reports for management review.
• Provide administrative support to the finance team as needed.
Requirements
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounts assistant or similar role.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Sage and Xero is mandatory.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations is highly desirable.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Work Ethic: A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
