Job Summary
Accounts Assistant to support the finance department by managing daily accounting tasks. The role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with reporting and reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Invoice Processing : Record, process, and monitor invoices and payments.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable : Manage company bills and ensure timely payments, track incoming payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Bank Reconciliation : Reconcile financial statements with bank records on a monthly basis.
• Data Entry : Input financial data into accounting software and maintain up-to-date records.
• Assisting with Payroll : Support payroll preparation by providing relevant data (e.g., attendance records, bonuses).
• Expense Management : Process and verify employee expense claims in line with company policy.
• Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• VAT and Tax Returns : Support the preparation and filing of VAT and tax returns.
• Audit Support : Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
• Petty Cash Management : Monitor and maintain petty cash records.
• Communication : Handle inquiries from vendors and clients regarding payments, invoices, and outstanding balances.
• General Administrative Support : Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and managing financial documents.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Education : CMA/ACCA Equivalent
• Experience : Previous experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role. Experience in manufacturing industry is preferred
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail : High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational Skills : Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Numerical Aptitude : Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Teamwork : Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
