We are growing and looking for an Accounting Specialist who will be responsible for managing and supporting the Finance Department with a broad range of internal financial reporting and serving external clients. This is a new role within the finance team to support the continued growth of the operations and to provide valuable input to support strategic management decisions.
The successful candidate should have a strong analytical and curious mindset with the technical ability to streamline processes. Able to maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:
• Support in maintaining timely and accurate financial statements and reports monthly.
• Support implementing and ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit.
• Document and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Bank account reconciliations and cash flow management.
• Assist in reviewing monthly results and implementing monthly variance reporting.
• Oversee the bookkeeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Assist in overseeing all payroll functions to ensure that employees are paid promptly and accurately.
• Maintain financial records for each client project in a manner that facilitates management reports.
• Provide accurate and timely reporting on the financial activity of individual projects.
• Assistance in the management of all leases, contracts, and acquisition of capital assets and ensuring that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.
• Ensure tax compliance and accurate and timely filings of tax returns for Bizzmosis.
• Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping for external clients.
Education:
• Accounting and Finance Degree
Experience
• 1-2 years of experience in finance desirable.
• Exceptional UAE VAT knowledge.
Skills
• Advanced MS Office
• Good verbal and written English
• Familiarity with Zoho books, Quick books, Oracle, and other applications desirable
• Familiarity with Integration E-commerce platforms with accounting platforms knowledge desirable
• Familiarity with FTA and Ministry of Finance Portals
• Excellent knowledge of IFRS and IAS
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good time management
