Job Description
Our client is a shipping company specialized in dry and reefer cargo services.We are looking for an Accounting Director with proven years of experience in the shipping industry.This role requires strong accounting skills, the ability to manage a team, and fluency in Russian. You will be responsible for overseeing the company\'s financial operations and ensuring that all accounting tasks are handled efficiently.Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and guide the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Promote a positive work environment and encourage team development.
- Financial Management:
- Oversee general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Ensure timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Monitor and manage the company\'s cash flow.
- Accounts Receivable & Payable:
- Handle customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Manage vendor payments and resolve any disputes.
- Audit Support:
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Proven experience in a similar role or accounting experience, preferably in the shipping industry.
- Fluent in Russian (mandatory).
- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, ERP) and Microsoft Office.
