Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Recordkeeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow), ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Budgeting and Forecasting : Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and performance reports, providing insights on variances and financial trends.
• Tax Compliance : Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant local, state, and federal tax laws. Collaborate with tax advisors to identify opportunities for tax planning and optimization.
• Internal Controls : Support internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Audit Assistance : Support external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.
• Account Reconciliation : Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial transactions to ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Financial Analysis : Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities. Provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.
• Compliance : Ensure adherence to accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS) and internal policies, and assist with the implementation of improvements in accounting procedures.
• Miscellaneous : Perform any other accounting-related tasks as needed, including accounts payable/receivable management, processing invoices, and supporting special projects.
Required Qualifications:
• Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certifications : CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification is preferred, but not required.
