ISMEs main task is to supply IKEA Home Furnishing products to specific IKEA franchisees in the Middle East. Come see things a little differently with us.We are currently looking for an Accountant in our Finance team, based in Dubai.As an Accountant, you secure proper and efficient accounting and reporting for the Wholesale business at the given quality level keeping all deadlines.Your tasks will include:Financial accounting:1. Collaborate in the Monthly closing (Inter IKEA reporting/ SAP) and Inter IKEA functional reporting.2. Responsible for procure-to-pay process, from purchase order to payment, including policy implementation and systems.3.Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices to ensure proper payment authorization.4. Collaborate with internal departments to resolve purchasing and payment-related issues.5. Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.6. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.7. Process expense reports and preparation of journal entries that relate to AP.Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting or related field. A reputable Chartered Accountant qualification is a plus.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable accounting.
  • Knowledge in IFRS and UAE VAT Regulations.
  • Experience in ERP systems and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel).
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Tax Rules & Regulations.
  • High proficiency in working with MS Office applications & CODA accounting system.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good analytical skill and attention to details.
  • Deep knowledge of local financial regulations and legislation (Statutory, legal, taxation)
