:

As an Accountant Specialist at Costalina Ship Management, you will play a vital role in managing the company's financial transactions and records through accounting software books. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting software.

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of entries.

Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Assist with audits and compliance activities.

Collaborate with other teams to gather financial information and resolve discrepancies.

Keep abreast of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.

Perform other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in accounting within the shipping industry, including familiarity with maritime financial regulations and shipping logistics.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

2-4 years of relevant and experience in accounting or finance.

Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

Proficiency in using Zoho accounting software.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with shipping or logistics industry.

Understanding of UAE accounting and tax regulations.

Certification of professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CMA, or CPA).

Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role.
• Prior experience in accounting within the shipping industry, including familiarity with maritime financial regulations and shipping logistics

Accounting: 2 to 4 years (Preferred)
