Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with extensive knowledge of accounting practices in the UAE construction industry. The ideal candidate will handle financial transactions, manage project costs, and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. Prepare and analyze financial statements (Income statement, Balance sheet and Cash flow statement) Monitor and control project costs, track expenses, and prepare project-based financial reports. Handle VAT accounting, filing, and compliance in accordance with UAE tax laws. Reconcile bank statements, Coordinate with project managers to analyze costs and assist in budget management. Oversee subcontractor payments, retention amounts, and ensure timely invoicing and collections. Assist external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Support management with financial analysis for decision-making and project evaluations. Month End and Year end Closings. Letter of Credit knowledge (Preferable) Bank facility Opening (Prefereble )

Qualifications and Skills:

Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in the construction sector. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and experience with VAT returns. Familiarity with construction project cost accounting, WIP (Work in Progress) reports, and revenue recognition. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, with at least 3 years in the construction industry.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
