Job Overview:

Marakish Auto Maintenance is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and supporting the overall accounting functions for the auto maintenance business. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all business transactions, including sales, expenses, and asset management related to auto maintenance services.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable : Process payments and receipts, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and outstanding debts are collected promptly.
• Bank Reconciliation : Reconcile daily, monthly, and yearly bank statements and ensure cash flow management.
• Payroll Processing : Assist in the preparation and disbursement of payroll, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Financial Reporting : Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss statements.
• Tax Compliance : Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with local and national tax laws and regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting : Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to assist in decision-making processes.
• Inventory Control : Track and report on inventory levels of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring accurate accounting of assets.
• Internal Controls : Maintain and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• General Ledger Maintenance : Record, categorize, and reconcile entries in the general ledger to ensure accurate financial tracking.
• Audit Support : Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
• Minimum of 0-3 years of accounting experience, preferably within an automotive or maintenance business.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the automotive service industry or maintenance-related business.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and experience in filing business taxes.
• Familiarity with inventory management and cost control.

Working Conditions:

• Occasional overtime during busy periods, especially during tax season or year-end closing.
• Office-based role with some potential for on-site visits to support operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED2,000.00 per month
