Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records of a mobile showroom, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local regulations. The role involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, handling cash, managing inventory records, and supporting the financial operations of the showroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Record-Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
• Reconcile accounts receivable and payable.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
• Reporting:
• Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
• Cash Handling:
• Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports.
• Perform cash reconciliation and manage petty cash.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor and record inventory transactions.
• Conduct periodic stock counts and reconcile with the records.
• Manage and report on inventory discrepancies.
• Tax and Compliance:
• Ensure timely filing of VAT returns and other tax obligations.
• Assist with audits and ensure compliance with local financial laws.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable:
• Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
• Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections.
• Support Operations:
• Assist in the preparation of payroll.
• Provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.
• Liaise with suppliers, banks, and other stakeholders as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in a retail or showroom environment.
• Communication: Good communication skills in English & Malayalam is mandatory.
