Job Purpose:

The Accountant is responsible for a variety of financial tasks crucial to the success of our business, including invoicing and collecting accounts receivable, performing weekly reconciliation of accounts, and handling year-end tax reporting activities. He will help identify areas for streamlining processes and achieving greater efficiencies while assisting with the smooth daily operations of our finance department.

The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting, tax preparation, and financial reporting, with the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Russian.

He will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and statements .. etc.
• Assist with tax filings, including VAT and corporate tax returns, in both English and Russian.
• Handle bookkeeping and financial transactions for clients or internal accounts.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with Russian-speaking clients and vendors as needed.
• Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
• Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
• Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
• Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions.
• Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secures financial information by completing database backups.
• Performs Bank, Customer, and Supplier reconciliations.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.
• Complies with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Providing accounting and clerical support to ensure that financial transactions comply with the VAT regulations.
• Preparation, validation, and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT returns for the UAE entities
• Handle VAT reporting (payables and receivables). Ensure collections and payments are done in line with UAE regulations.

Skills required:

Proven experience as an accountant, preferably with experience in international or Russian-speaking environments.

Fluent in Russian and English (both written and spoken).

Solid understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial statements.

Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).

Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & experience:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in tax, accounting, or finance
• Preferably (CPA, ACCA, CA) Part qualified
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in accounting/finance
• Experience with financial reporting requirements
• Experience with multi-currency accounting and working with international clients.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
