Job Description

: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant Payable to join our finance team on immediate Basis (Candidates on visit Visa are preferred) . The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the company's accounts payable processes with high accuracy and efficiency. The Accountant Payable will ensure the proper recording of all supplier and vendor transactions, facilitate timely payments, and contribute to the smooth functioning of the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and manage accounts payable transactions, including reviewing and verifying invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring proper authorization.
• Maintain and update records of supplier and vendor accounts, tracking outstanding balances, and managing payment schedules.
• Ensure all payments are made in compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulations.
• Assist in preparing and processing month-end and year-end closing reports related to accounts payable.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to vendor accounts and payments.
• Monitor cash flow to ensure there are sufficient funds to meet payment obligations.
• Maintain organized records for audit purposes and support internal and external audits.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.
• Prepare reports on outstanding invoices, payment aging, and payment history.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements for more efficient accounts payable operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable or a related finance role, preferably within the marine, logistics, or maritime industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and procedures.
• Basic understanding of VAT regulations and compliance, especially applicable in the UAE.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling numerical data.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers, vendors, and other departments.
• Knowledge of marine industry practices and related financial requirements is advantageous.
