A well-established retail business in Bahrain is looking for a skilled and dedicated Accountant to join the team. The ideal candidate must have experience in handling all aspects of accounting for a retail business. Job Responsibilities: - Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping. - Handle daily sales, purchases, and expense entries. - Prepare and file VAT returns on time. - Generate financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets. - Manage accounts payable and receivable. - Reconcile bank statements and cash transactions. - Monitor stock inventory and prepare valuation reports. - Handle payroll processing and employee salary calculations. - Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. - Coordinate with auditors for internal and external audits. - Provide cost analysis and assist in budget planning. - Assist in barcode issuance for newly purchased items. - Monitor live stock and branch-wise accounts. - Maintain records for buy, sell, exchange, order, and repair transactions. Job Details: Location: On-site in Manama, Bahrain Employment Type: Full-time Salary: BD 150 - 300 (depending on experience and qualifications) Requirements: -Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in Bahrain. -Prior experience in retail accounting. -Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT regulations. -Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. -Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting. -Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. -Must be able to join immediately.
