Medical Laboratory is looking for a Female Accountant with experience.
Job Summary
The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial activities and ensuring the financial health of the company. This role involves handling day-to-day accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, maintaining compliance with local regulations, and supporting the business's operational needs. The Accountant will work closely with various departments and markets, to ensure accurate financial reporting, inventory management, and regulatory compliance. Independent working is expected from the successful candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting:
• Maintain and update the company's financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management and payroll.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) as per Bioimmun standards.
• Monitor daily cash flow and ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts.
Invoicing & Billing:
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of supplier payments.
• Handle billing disputes, credit notes, and returns processing in accordance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
Inventory Management & Cost Control:
• Work closely with the supply chain and inventory management teams to reconcile stock levels with financial records.
• Maintain records of inventory purchases, movements, and adjustments to align with accounting standards.
• Perform costing and pricing analyses to maintain accurate profit margins.
• Perform inventory valuation on a quarterly basis.
Taxation & Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting and reporting requirements, including timely VAT return submissions and accurate calculations.
• Maintain awareness of any changes in taxation or financial regulations in the UAE.
• Liaise with external auditors and governmental bodies to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Payroll & Employee Management:
• Process payroll for employees, ensuring all statutory deductions are made accurately and on time.
• Manage employee-related expenses and benefit claims, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
Internal Controls & Audits:
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and prevent discrepancies.
• Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and financial information.
Software Management:
• Utilize accounting software (FOCUS) to maintain records and automate key financial functions.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in software management for financial reporting and inventory tracking.
Cross-Department Collaboration:
• Collaborate with the various teams to ensure financial alignment with operational activities.
• Provide financial insights to assist the management in making informed decisions.
Qualifications
Accounting Graduate (Bachelor's preferred)
Knowledge of general accounting procedures
Knowledge of relevant accounting software MS Word, MS Excel, & FOCUS
Proficient in data entry and management
3-5 years accounts payable or general accounting experience
ACCA is an added advantage.
