As the UAE\'s only medium and large munitions manufacturer, we put over 25 years of expertise and experience to work for leading defence and security organisations across the MENA region and beyond.Key Responsibilities:The Accountant responsibility is to support the goals of finance department in execution of controls over recording and reporting of financial statementsPrepares Purchase Journal vouchers and general journal vouchersCharges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entriesMaintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactionsReconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balancesMaintains and secures the petty cash disbursements, cash control and petty cash statement preparationUpdates statement of Outward letters of credit, loans, interest and Margin summeryPrepares wire transfers/payment vouchersUpdates Aging of Payables report and making settlement on timely mannerMonitors payments and Credit Notes from SuppliersCompletes the reports accurate and timely manner for monthly, quarterly and year end closePrepares for financial audit and coordinate the audit processAssists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and proceduresPrepares sales vouchers, receipt vouchers and general journal vouchersUpdates status on Inward letters of creditPrepares sales invoice and other sales documents to be submitted against LC/Direct RemittanceUpdating sales register and order bookTracks issuances of receipts/cash /credit invoices, depositsMonitors receipts and invoices from customersIntense monitoring of accounts receivableReconciles between bank and company accountsHandles daily receipts, monthly revenue intake sheets, spreadsheet filesEnsures that all monthly transactions are accurately recordedUpdates revenue tracking sheets and reportsUpdates and maintains the company\'s fixed asset reportingEnsures fixed asset recording is in accordance with capitalization and depreciation policiesMaintains necessary asset paperwork/filesPeriodically audits fixed asset and small asset inventory on-siteDevelops inventory analysis reports and analyzing variancesAssist in the improvement in internal controls related to inventoryMonitor inventory transactionsReconcile inventory accounts to the general ledgerCompletes the reports accurate and timely manner for monthly, quarterly and year end closePrepares for financial audit and coordinate the audit processAssists as back-up to the Accounts Payable ClerkExperience and Education:Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration or Business Accounting. Higher degree &/or public certification is a plus.4 to 8 years of practical experience in the accounting field. Knowledge of Cost Accounting for manufacturing entities is a plus.Knowledge of ERP structure (SAP, Oracle Financial, Microsoft AX, etc.)Chartered Accountant is a plusUses Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)Fluent in English (Spoken & Written)Self-starter, motivated, confident & open character#LAHAB
