Job Summary
We are seeking a
General Accountant & Inventory Controller
to join our team. This role is a blend of financial management and inventory control, ensuring smooth operations across both functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and storekeeping, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail. A passion for sustainability and efficiency is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
Maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger updates, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare financial reports and statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and maintain up-to-date financial documentation.
Utilize
QuickBooks Online
or other accounting software for efficient financial management.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Inventory Controller Responsibilities:
Receive and inspect incoming materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders.
Maintain up-to-date inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
Organize and manage warehouse storage, ensuring proper labeling and categorization.
Oversee the dispatch of goods, coordinating timely and accurate deliveries.
Monitor stock levels and proactively place orders to maintain optimal inventory.
Implement and maintain inventory control procedures to prevent loss, theft, or damage.
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure a smooth supply chain.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
.
Minimum
2 years of experience in accounting and inventory management
, preferably within the UAE.
Proficiency in
QuickBooks Online
or similar accounting software.
Strong knowledge of
UAE VAT regulations
and compliance procedures.
Technical & Soft Skills:
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office Suite
, particularly Excel (Advanced Excel and VBA skills are a plus).
Strong
