Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and supporting the financial management of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with local laws and accounting standards (UAE VAT, IFRS, etc.). Assist in the preparation of financial statements such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports. Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow. Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with the UAE Federal Tax Authority requirements. Perform monthly and year-end closing procedures and ensure accurate reporting. Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis. Conduct internal audits and implement control procedures. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits. Assist with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws. Ensure timely and accurate filing of all necessary documents with relevant government bodies.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally in the UAE or the Gulf region. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT laws and accounting practices (UAE tax law, IFRS, etc.). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Tally). Strong MS Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and analysis. Knowledge of payroll and HR systems. Attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English.

Preferred Skills:

ACCA, CPA, or similar professional certification is a plus. Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-national company. Knowledge of IFRS and UAE's financial regulatory framework.
