Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant to join our established real estate advisory firm in Dubai. In this pivotal role within our Finance department, you will contribute to the company's success by providing essential financial and operational support. Your responsibilities will include financial and management reporting, budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting, and more.


To succeed in this role, you will need a strong background in finance and accounting, experience with external audits, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and international financial reporting standards (IFRS). Key responsibilities:




Prepare accurate and timely management information. Support with the preparation of year-end processes, statutory accounts, and audit schedules. Review monthly trial balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls. Oversee month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries. Analyse results against targets and provide variance analysis. Collaborate with external auditors and ensure compliance with IFRS and other regulatory requirements. Supervise tax compliance, including VAT filings and adherence to international taxation laws in the GCC region Monitor and manage cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable processes. Coordinate with department heads to resolve financial or operational issues proactively. Assist in the development of tools, systems, and processes to improve financial and operational efficiency. Support risk management strategies to ensure the organisation's financial stability. Prepare ad-hoc reports and presentations for senior management as required. Support with the maintenance and communication of appropriate and effective internal controls, policies, and procedures. Assist with the implementation and communication of effective internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:




Qualifications and Experience:




Degree in Accountancy or Finance, with a professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA. Minimum 4+ years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a multinational or professional services environment. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting techniques. Familiarity with international taxation laws and regulatory standards in the GCC region is a plus.

Skills and Attributes:




Attention to detail with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong technical proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A collaborative team player with strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Highly ethical and professional, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity. Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, and a mindset for continuous improvement.
