We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Oversee the maintenance of cash, ensuring accurate recording of daily banking transactions and online payments.
• Provide regular cash flow reports to the CEO.
• Manage credit card payments and generate bi-weekly reconciliations of credit card statements.
• Perform credit card tally reconciliations as needed.
• Ensure precise data entry in Tally for receipts, payments, and journal entries.
• Reconcile accounts in Tally on a regular basis.
• Generate daily Proforma invoices and maintain accurate records.
• Regularly prepare and monitor tax invoices to ensure compliance.
• Supervise the collection and secure deposit of checks, ensuring the safeguarding of the checkbook.
• Prepare and submit monthly VAT returns, quartely VAT Filing.
• Provide support for Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Economic Substance Regulation (ESR), and Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) requirements.
• Administer cash and accounts for clients, ensuring timely and accurate management.
• Manage company email communications and coordinate with clients effectively.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, Tally, ZOHO, and ZOHO Books.
• Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of VAT regulations and corporate tax laws.
• Compliance Skills: Experience in preparing and filing VAT returns and corporate tax filings.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and provide insights related to tax liabilities and compliance.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet tax deadlines.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for liaising with tax authorities and stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Proven ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks.
