Job Description

As an Accountant at Zapegg Tax Consultant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, exceptional attention to detail, and experience in the scrap metals industry. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with financial regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


• Record and classify financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare, review, and process invoices for clients and suppliers, ensuring all invoices are recorded and sent out promptly.
• Maintain and reconcile the cash book, ensuring all cash transactions are accurately recorded and monitored.
• Track and record expenses, ensuring proper documentation and categorization.
• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and financial audits.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
• Perform any other bookkeeping-related tasks and projects as required.


Qualifications:


• Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the scrap metals or recycling industry.
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Certification in bookkeeping is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, OneNote) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
