Job Summary:

The Interior Fit-out Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing all financial activities related to interior fit-out projects. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate should have at least four years of relevant experience in accounting, preferably within the construction or interior design industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
• Manage all financial aspects of interior fit-out projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
• Monitor project budgets to ensure financial performance aligns with forecasts.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for each project.
• Accounting Operations:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all fit-out projects.
• Process invoices, payments, and payroll related to project expenses.
• Reconcile project accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
• Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of project financials.
• Compliance and Audit:
• Ensure all financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Prepare for and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other departments to ensure financial efficiency.
• Provide financial guidance and support to project teams.
• Assist in contract review and negotiation from a financial perspective.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in financial regulations.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on interior fit-out, construction, or related industries.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily office-based with occasional visits to project sites as needed.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, if required.
