Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks, including GL posting, monthly closing of books, invoicing, booking expenses, VAT returns, and handling payments. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is essential. Candidates with professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) will have an added advantage.

1.General Ledger (GL) Posting:

- Ensure accurate and timely posting of transactions to the general ledger.

- Maintain and reconcile GL accounts on a regular basis.

2.Monthly Closing of Books:

- Perform month-end closing activities and prepare financial statements.

- Ensure all entries are accurately recorded and comply with accounting standards.

3.Invoicing:

- Generate and issue invoices to customers in a timely manner.

- Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage accounts receivable.

4.Booking Expenses:

- Record and monitor expenses to ensure they are posted accurately and timely.

- Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.

5. VAT Returns:

- Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with local regulations.

- Ensure all VAT-related transactions are accurately recorded and documented.

6. Handling Payments:

- Process payments to suppliers and vendors promptly.

- Manage the accounts payable ledger and reconcile payments with statements.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years of local accounting experience, preferably with audit trainee experience.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, MS Dynamics 365, Zoho).

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is an added advantage.

- Experience with VAT returns and knowledge of local tax regulations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
