Job Description

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
Recording financial transactions and reconciling accounts.
Managing general ledger accounts and ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.
Financial Reporting:Preparing financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.
Budgeting and Forecasting:Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
Monitoring actual performance against budgets and providing variance analysis.
Advising management on financial planning and budgeting strategies.
Tax Compliance:Ensuring compliance with local tax regulations, including VAT.
Preparing and filing tax returns and ensuring timely payment of taxes.
Staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Audit and Internal Controls:Coordinating with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
Implementing and maintaining effective internal control systems.
Conducting regular audits of financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:Managing accounts payable, including processing invoices and making payments.
Handling accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up on outstanding payments.
Ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.
Payroll Processing:Preparing and processing payroll for employees.
Ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies regarding employee compensation and benefits.
Handling payroll-related queries and issues.
Financial Analysis:Conducting financial analysis to support business decisions.
Evaluating financial performance and providing recommendations for improvement.
Identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:A bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
Professional accounting certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CA (preferred).
Experience:Previous experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
Experience in various areas of accounting, such as financial reporting, tax compliance, and auditing.
Skills:Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards (IFRS or GAAP).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Personal Attributes:Integrity and ethical behavior in handling financial information.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Language Proficiency:Fluency in English (required).
Knowledge of Arabic or other languages (advantageous).

The work environment is primarily office-based, with standard working hours.
During peak periods, such as financial year-end or tax filing deadlines, additional hours may be required.
