Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accountant cum Financial Controller with a strong background in managing financials across diverse financial sectors, particularly in the forex industry. This role involves overseeing financial reporting, controlling budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring regulatory compliance while utilizing deep knowledge of financial markets and forex trading mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management, ensuring proper insights into the performance of forex and financial market transactions.
• Review and reconcile general ledger entries to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements, with specific attention to financial instruments and forex transactions.
• Financial Control & Planning
• Develop and implement robust financial control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets, especially in a high-risk environment like forex.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accurate projections and financial planning.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity, particularly related to currency exchange, hedging strategies, and forex positions.
• Perform variance analysis, identifying discrepancies between budgeted and actual performance.
• Risk Management & Compliance
• Identify financial risks within the forex market and implement strategies for mitigating exposure, including hedging and currency risk management.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards specific to the forex and financial services industry.
• Work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulators to ensure timely and accurate filing of financial records and reports.
• Audit & Internal Controls
• Prepare for and manage internal and external audits, ensuring smooth audit processes and implementing audit recommendations.
• Ensure that the company's financial practices, meet compliance standards and risk management protocols.
• Strategic Financial Planning
• Contribute to the development and execution of financial strategies that support business objectives.
• Ensure financial data is accurately represented in decision-making tools and financial reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field. A professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• Proven experience in accounting, financial control, or financial management roles, ideally with a focus on the forex or financial markets .
• Strong understanding of forex trading principles , financial instruments, currency risk management, and related regulations.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance, particularly as it pertains to financial services and forex.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
