The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant Assistant to join our dynamic finance team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking to grow their careers in accounting and finance. The Accountant Assistant will support various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in compliance with regulatory standards. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording daily transactions, ensuring all entries are correct and well-documented. - Support the senior accountant in managing accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliations. - Prepare and process payroll, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation while adhering to local labor laws and regulations. - Conduct regular audits of financial documents and procedures to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as needed. - Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local tax regulations. - Help with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting. - Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support for budgeting and forecasting activities. - Maintain organized financial files and documentation, both electronic and physical, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information. - Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and accounting best practices to ensure compliance and enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a similar capacity. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations. - Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data entry. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information clearly. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - A proactive approach to learning and professional development, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities. - Fluency in English is required;
