Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team and manage all financial transactions for our structural steel company. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling various aspects of accounting, from fixed payments and follow-ups to bank deposits and budgeting. As part of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's financial health, providing accurate and timely reports, and maintaining compliance with accounting policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Payment Follow-ups:

Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely collection and resolution of any payment-related issues.

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and publish accurate financial statements in a timely manner, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports required by management.

Account Reconciliation:

Perform regular reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Timely Bank Payments:

Ensure that all company bank payments, including vendor payments and other financial obligations, are made on time and processed correctly.

Manage Financial Statements:

Oversee the preparation and analysis of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports, helping to track the company's performance and financial standing.

Financial Health Reporting:

Provide regular updates on the company's financial health, including liquidity analysis, ensuring that management is informed of the company's financial position.

Accounting Transactions:

Manage all aspects of accounting transactions, ensuring that financial records are kept up to date and in compliance with established procedures and regulations.

Data Confidentiality and Security:

Maintain strict confidentiality of all financial data. Ensure that database backups are regularly conducted and that financial data is secure from unauthorized access.

Compliance with Policies and Regulations:

Adhere to all financial policies, regulations, and accounting standards. Ensure the company's accounting practices comply with legal requirements and industry standards.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

A minimum of

3 years of work experience

as an accountant, specifically in Dubai, with hands-on experience in accounting tasks related to financial reporting, payments, and account reconciliation.

Accounting Knowledge:

Strong understanding of accounting regulations, procedures, and principles, including a deep knowledge of the accounting standards and practices applicable in Dubai.

Software Proficiency:

Hands-on experience with accounting software and tools, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to manage financial data, create reports, and analyze financial information.

Attention to Detail:

High attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently under pressure, ensuring that all financial transactions and reports are accurate and error-free.

Analytical Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify discrepancies, trends, and issues within financial data, and proactively address any concerns.

Educational Qualification:

A Bachelor's degree in Commerce (BCom) or a related field is required. Additional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) will be considered a plus.

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other departments, vendors, and clients. Ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to management.
