As an Accountant with ACCA qualifications, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function of the business. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and delivering accurate and timely financial reports. You will work closely with other team members and stakeholders, contributing to the firm's success by providing insight into financial performance and supporting decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliation of bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial statements.
Prepare financial reports, management accounts, and forecasts to assist in strategic decision-making.
Assist with tax filings, VAT returns, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Review and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and invoices.
Support budgeting and financial planning processes.
Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS/GAAP.
Manage relationships with external auditors and support audits when necessary.
Monitor cash flow and assist with cash management strategies.
Contribute to the preparation of financial analysis, including variance analysis and cost control.
Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements:
Qualification:
ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
Experience:
Minimum of [X] years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within a recruitment or similar services industry.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred).
Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
