My client, an investment arm of the Abu Dhabi government, is seeking to hire an Accountant specializing in Accounts Payable and Fixed Assets. This position is within one of the most prestigious and renowned organizations in Abu Dhabi
Job Purpose: Responsible for processing payments in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring full accountability. Ensure accurate recording, maintenance, and analysis of asset tagging, in alignment with the Asset Management System. Prepare invoices for the company against reimbursement expenses for company subsidiaries and others. Compile quarterly VAT reports, overdue receipts reports, and Fixed Assets schedules. Handle the monthly and annual reconciliation of General Ledger accounts related to Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Accounts Receivable. Education o Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent (essential). o Professional Qualification in Accounting (preferred). Experience o Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting field with oracle knowledge. Technical Expertise / Skills / Knowledge o Good understanding of Accounting Principles & Standards as per IFRS. o Good understanding of relevant UAE law. o Strong analytical and intellectual capabilities. o High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to carry out assigned duties with little to no supervision. o Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with managers / staff from different cultural backgrounds. o Good communication skills (spoken & written). o Reporting skills, Diligence, Organization, Alertness to details, Research skills, Problem solving, Quality focus, Proactive, Steadfastness. o Knowledge in ERP systems, Power BI, and Orbit. Key Role Interfaces o Internally: Contact with personnel of various level in all Dept./Division/Business units to coordinate work related of Accounts Payments, Fixed Assets & Accounts Receivables & relevant reports o Externally: Liaises with internal/external auditor for the clarification of account
