The Opportunity:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. As our Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, supporting strategic decision-making, and contributing to the overall success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management.
Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with other tax-related matters.
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting regulations and internal controls.
Work with external auditors during annual audits.
Manage the cash flow of the company and ensure adequate funds are available.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate industry.
Strong understanding of GAAP.
Proficiency in Accounting Software
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Experience with property management accounting is a plus.
CPA certification is a plus.
